A Yoga Therapy Approach to Coming Back to Life
---
As temperatures rise and the days stretch their arms a little longer, spring reminds us: it's okay to begin again.
In yoga therapy, we honor the body’s natural rhythms — and spring is a potent time for gentle reset. Think of it not as a push toward productivity, but a return to what already lives within you. The energy. The softness. The capacity to feel good in your body again.
What Is Spring Renewal in Yoga Therapy?
In the natural world, spring is all about emergence — slow, intentional growth after the dormancy of winter. In yoga therapy, we take that same approach. Instead of diving headfirst into high-energy vinyasas or rigid goals, we begin with what’s present in the body right now.
Spring renewal is not about doing more. It’s about reconnecting to yourself.
We work with breath, awareness, and simple movement to:
Unwind heaviness from the colder months
Gently reawaken the nervous system with grounding and energizing sequences
Clear emotional residue held in the hips, spine, and breath
Make space for change without force or shame
Try This Simple Spring Reset Practice
