Kapota Mudra
This grounding practice fosters unconditional love and gratitude towards oneself and others. When used as a greeting gesture, it shows respect, acceptance, and humility, especially in conversations with a guru. Kapota Mudra, related to the heart, stimulates the Heart Chakra (Anahata Chakra) when placed at the heart center. This opens the chest, enhances deep breathing, and facilitates the upward movement of prana, promoting openness, groundedness, and centeredness. The heart-opening aspect of this mudra aids in emotional control and heightened awareness, encouraging compassion, inner peace, and a sense of unity. It brings balance to the physical body and mind, much like yoga poses, and is practiced at the heart center to remind one of the balance of peace and unity in relationships with oneself and others.
